Manifesto and Mission Statement

This list was created as a safe place for people to talk about the things that really move them, what makes them tick, how they see the world and how those things translate into a code of conduct or ethics. Obviously every single aspect of your life is affected by these things, but what I and many others seem to need to talk about the most is the particular aspects of Spirituality and Sexuality.

If you have an alternative outlook on either of those things, you are almost by default a social outcast (unless you live in cool places like San Fancisco, Northampton or the wacky parts of other cool cities) and even in liberal liberated areas there is still often a lack of structure for open discussion.

It's also good to have a non-involved third party to bounce ideas off of if you're having troubles in your life, or if your usual support structure is what's letting your down or causing angst.

So that's where Ouroboros' Flame kicks in. The list is what you make of it, but hopefully it will be used as intelligent, thoughtful, open discussion of, well, life, the universe, & everything.

The most important thing on this list is respect for each other, each other's opinions and everyone's life-experiences. The idea here is to be able to share experiences, get advice, talk about what moves us, the world, the universe - everyone will have different opinions. Learn about them, don't bash them.

Some Rules:

  1. No flaming or name-calling
  2. No religion-bashing (see #4)
  3. No proselytizing (see #2)
  4. No bigotry (see #1)
Excessive disregard for these guidelines will result in warnings, temporary unsubbing (for cooling off periods), and, if necessary, permanent bans from the list.

if you want to write a little introduction or description of yourself, where you are in life, your path or issues, i can put them up post them here, and you can probably even have your own page if you wanted to add more things.
